Culinary Collective was founded in 1998 by Pere Selles from Catalunya, Spain and Betsy Power from Salem, Massachusetts, who were passionate about increasing the selection and availability of high-quality Spanish and Peruvian foods, from small, regional producers. Pere and Betsy established the company on the basis of working only with producers rooted in and integral to the health of their communities to ensure products are all natural and fairly sourced.

Today the commitment of Culinary Collective remains focused on sourcing foods that sustain. Every item is evaluated on its ability to provide healthy food for consumers, support to the local economies that produce these foods, and the preservation of the heritage and culture of these foods. We ensure the companies we work with have social, environmental, and financial practices that maximize local benefit and minimize environmental impacts through the elimination of chemicals and reduction in waste and resource consumption.
