Inspired by the iconic New Jersey-style tomato pie, this Fra Diavolo Focaccia with Spicy Sardines is a deliciously fiery addition for your next party spread. Pre-made focaccia is topped with a spicy jarred pasta sauce, baked, and then adorned with Matiz Spicy Wild Sardines, creamy burrata cheese, and fresh basil.
Fra Diavolo Focaccia with Spicy Sardines


Ingredients:
1 each. sheet or 2 half sheets of focaccia
1 ½ cups. fra diavolo or arrabiata sauce
2 each. burrata cheese balls, cut into quarters
1 each. tin (4.2oz) Matiz Spicy Wild Sardines
Fresh basil, for topping
Ingredients:
1. Preheat the oven to 425°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment.
2. Place the focaccia on the prepared baking sheet and top with fra diavolo sauce, spreading out in an even layer, and leaving a small border around the edges of the bread.
3. Place in the oven and bake for 15 minutes or until the sauce has set and the bread is a little crunchy.
4. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool for 10 minutes.
5. Once cooled, divide the focaccia into 8 portions and top with burrata, sardines, and fresh basil before serving
