Skip the take-out with this scrumptious Sardine Sushi Bowl. Bowls stuffed with sticky sushi rice are topped with Matiz’s wild sardines in lemon-infused olive oil. These lemony sardines balance the rich avocado, fiery spicy mayo, and crisp cucumbers.

Ingredients:

4 cups. cooked sushi rice
1 sheet nori, cut into quarters
1 tin. (4.2oz.) Matiz Wild Sardines with Lemon
1⁄2 cup. spicy Asian mayonnaise
1 cup. sliced cucumbers
1 cup. sliced or diced avocado

Instructions:

1. Divide cooked sushi rice and nori sheets between bowls.
2. Top the sushi rice with sardines, spicy mayo, cucumbers, and avocado. Drizzle the bowls
with a couple teaspoons of the lemon-infused olive oil (from the tin) before serving.
(Optional) Sprinkle with sesame seeds or Japanese-style seasoning.
