This recipe for Trout Paté Puffs is one impressive appetizer (without being excessively labor intensive). Puff pastry portions are topped with everything bagel seasoning and baked fluffy and crisp. They are then spread with Matiz Smoked Trout Paté and adorned with caviar and fresh chives. A delicious, show-stopping appetizer.
Trout Pâté Puffs


Ingredients:
1 each. sheet puff pastry
1 each. egg, mixed with 1 tsp of water
1 tbsp. everything bagel seasoning
1 jar. (3.5oz) Matiz Smoked Trout Paté
1 ½ tsp. caviar
2 tbsp. fresh chives, chopped
Instructions:
1. Preheat the oven to 400°F and line a large baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Using a small, round cookie cutter, portion the puff pastry, and place the portions onto the prepared baking sheet.
3. Brush the puff pastry rounds with egg wash and sprinkle with everything bagel seasoning.
4. Place the pastry into the oven and bake for 20 minutes or until golden brown and puffed.
5. Remove from the oven and set aside to cool on a wire rack.
6. Once cooled, cut the puffs in half.
7. Spread the trout paté on the bottom portion of each puff and top with caviar and chopped chives. Serve immediately.
